The Professional Music Producers Association of Canada (PMPAC) is the first national organization dedicated to advancing the interests of music producers across the country.

 

Producers play a vital role in the creation of music, often wearing multiple hats—composer, engineer, arranger, and entrepreneur—while operating behind the scenes. These unique responsibilities come with equally unique challenges. When left unaddressed, they impact not only the well-being of producers, but the health and sustainability of the wider music industry.

 

PMPAC exists to strengthen the role of producers—across all genres and career stages—through advocacy, professional development, and national community. With a data-driven focus on fair compensation, recognition, and access to resources, we aim to reflect the true value producers bring to the creative process.
